The V is for the obvious reason

Cut into a V rather than left as a rectangle. It is a small thing on a drawing and a large thing on a wall — the shape points down to the medals the way a finish line funnels runners in.

The V also widens the hanging span, so ribbons spread instead of stacking.

Size & capacity

Medal figures are for standard 25 mm ribbons. Hang them closer and more will fit.

Steel and finish

• 3 mm steel, powder-coated grey — an even, hard-wearing surface rather than a sprayed-on paint
• Grey, a quieter match for concrete, oak and pale walls
• Laser-cut, deburred, edges finished by hand
• Wipe with a damp cloth. Apply any cleaner to the cloth, not to the display

Mounting

Three standoffs lift the frame clear of the wall, so the ribbons slide over the bars easily and the piece reads as if it floats. Screws and drywall plugs are included; for brick you will want masonry plugs, which any hardware shop stocks. Three holes, about ten minutes.
