The one bought the week after signing up
There is a specific moment for this phrase, and it is not after the race. It is the evening the entry confirmation arrives for something clearly too far, when the training plan is still theoretical and the whole thing feels like a dare that got out of hand.
People buy the display then, with nothing to hang on it. Which is fine — it is a rail, not a set of hooks, so an empty one does not look like a rack with gaps in it.
Bought before the race rather than after it, this one often goes up empty and stays that way for a training block. It is meant to.
This medal hanger is produced in the widths below. If you are buying it as a gift, size on the collection they already have rather than on what looks right on the wall.
Size & capacity
| Size | Steel | 1 rail | 2 rails | 3 rails |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 35 x 8 cm | 2.5 mm | 8-12 | 15-22 | 20-30 |
| 45 x 8 cm | 2.5 mm | 13-20 | 24-36 | 34-50 |
| 60 x 11 cm | 3 mm | 21-30 | 38-55 | 55-75 |
| 75 x 11.5 cm | 3 mm | 31-45 | 55-80 | 75-110 |
Not sure which size?
Buying it before the first medal arrives? Size on the plan, not on the wall — one race is rarely the last one.
Made from one sheet, not assembled from parts
The medal holder is laser-cut from a single piece of AISI 304 stainless steel, 2.5-3 mm thick depending on the width. Nothing welded on, nothing to come loose.
Medals hang on a continuous rail rather than individual hooks, so you're limited by the width of the bar and nothing else.
Putting it up
The standoffs hold it a centimetre off the wall, which is what gives the shadow line. Template, screws and plugs are included; you need a drill and ten minutes.
When it fills up
A second unit mounts flush against the first, so the wall still reads as one piece rather than two things hung near each other. The widest version holds up to 110 medals across three rails.
Delivery
Every medal display is cut and finished in our own workshop and dispatched within 3–5 working days. Returns accepted for fourteen days.
